Referrals and Admissions
Chatham Oaks will process requests for admission regardless of race, creed, color, religion, age, and/or ethnic/national origin. Chatham Oaks serves adults with a mental illness and/or developmental disabilities.
The following criteria are assessed for each individual referred for admission:
Age (18 or older)
Mental illness/Developmental Disability diagnosis
County/State/Private Pay available
Not actively suicidal/homicidal
Free of self-harm behavior for at least 2 weeks
Not on the sex offender list
Criminal background check void of extensive activities such as assault, use of weapons. drug/alcohol related crimes, etc.
Substance abuse not a primary problem
Wants to/agrees to come to Chatham Oaks and cooperate with the rules & individual responsibilities
Mentally/physically stable on the tour or face to face assessment
